2024 - 2025 Scholarship Amounts:

$1,000 to a boy MHS Water Polo Player

$1,000 to a girl MHS Water Polo Player

Applications for the 2024-2025 school year will close on March 1, 2025.  Please complete our online application before the deadline.

Description:

Starting with the 2022-2023 school year, funding was provided to the Spring Branch Education Foundation in order to award two scholarships to Memorial High School water polo student-athletes.  Scholarships are awarded to students and paid to the student-athlete's chosen college in order to pay a portion of tuition and fees.  The 2024-2025 school year will be the third year for the Mustang Water Polo Scholarship!

Selection criteria:

* Selection committee family members are ineligible for this scholarship. 

1) MHS Water Polo: The scholarship will be awarded to an MHS Water Polo player.  Preference will be given to student-athletes that have demonstrated commitment to the MHS Water Polo program.

2) Personal Statement, the student-athlete's response to the prompt: "How has MHS Water Polo shaped you as a person?"

3) Academic Record: The student-athlete's academic record (class rank and year of graduation).  Preference will be given to Senior students.

4) Community Service Record: The student-athlete's community service record.

The selection committee will award the scholarship to one boy and one girl.
